Last-Minute Compliance Communications. No Extra Postage.

The Challenge

The Challenge

Under the gun to meet their next print cycle date, our client needed to create a compliance communications piece to make their customers aware of a rate change to their credit programs. To stay in compliance without missing cycles, they needed to do this in record time, while keeping costs to a minimum.

Our Insights

Our Insights

To keep our client in compliance without missing cycles, IMS had to figure out how to quickly get the word out about the credit program rate change without adding the additional mailing cost of one more letter.

We have deep experience in inserting services including selective inserting. This task was simple, though. We proposed what’s called a buck slip insert (a small printed piece that contains a specific marketing message). so the client could meet their next cycle date for mailed pieces.

Our Approach

Our Approach

From the initial meeting to the finished product, the turnaround time to create the buck slip and get it in the mail was just 48 hours. We produced it relatively inexpensively. Since the customer was already sending out a statement mailing, the buck slip was included. This eliminated the need to spend more money on an additional mailing, which would have resulted in thousands of additional dollars.

With this print, mail, and insert solution, the buck slip proved to be a cost-effective solution to a compliance communications issue. Quick thinking and a cohesive IMS team helped this client achieve their goal without adding additional expense to their budget. Working with the client, IMS created and produced a media insert within a 48-hour window. This allowed them to stay in compliance with customer communications without impacting their Accounts Receivable or business results.

IMS’s quick creation of a buck slip and our print, mail, and insert services, ensured timely communications with their customers while staying in compliance. By incorporating the buck slip into their existing mailing, IMS saved the company thousands of dollars in additional postage costs on thousands of letters.
